WE WALTER founded in 1969 was operating, during its early years, mainly in marine applications. By 1976 high voltage power equipment was added to the automation product range. In 1986 was introduced the division dedicated to Group I flame proof cabinets and equipment and a few years later, the pressurized substations certified EEx-p group I and II for petrochemical application. The whole production includes – HV/LV electrical equipment for site electrification (temporary and permanent) – HV/LV explosion proof electrical equipment – automation and control system for industrial application (foods, textile, petrochemical) All the experience done alongside these field has then been implemented in the field of survival equipment. Today the refuge chambers represent the most important product in term of techncology and performance. Refuge chambers let people surviving in case of emergency in a safe environment with an autonomous and indipendent breathing system, until the rescue arrival.
